you will have to pay the deductable. well, we have a deductable here. its like 300 then your insurance will pay the rest of the damages. then your rates will go up slightly next year. maybe the next couple years or so it will be higher then you are used to paying. as far as the gas station, they probably won't. but they may file it. i have no idea if the police will do a record check for the claims themselves. i'm sure they must. they must have to cross match claims put in by other people or complaints or anything of that nature. make an anonymous call from a pay phone, give a phony name and just tell them you have some questions.

If you have collision coverage - they will use that to pay for the damage to your car (less your deductible). Give them the name/address and phone number (if you have it) of the gas station. They will contact the gas station regarding any damages to their pole. This would be handled under your liability coverage.

It is not uncommon for someone to not call the police in this type of situation. Often the police will not make a report if it's on private property. So the lack of a police report should not affect your claim.

Evaluate the damage. If it is less or near your deductible you probably should pay for it yourself.
It's doubtful the insurance company would contact the gas station. Did you cause damage to the pole? If not, don't worry about that.
If it's over the deductible the insurance company will probably pay, minus that amount, if you file a claim. A police report is not required.

They will cover the damage if any to the pole. They will contact the station to verify if any damage. If you carry collision coverage then they will cover the damages to your car minus your deductible. PR not necessary. Anyone at gas station witness it?

Well when you contact your insurance agency they are going to ask you how it happened. My question to you is, did the gas station see this happen and did you damaged anything of theirs? Also, how bad is the damage cause if you do claim it your insurance rates can go up.

You're collison policy will cover repairs to your car above your deductible amount. Your liability policy will cover the pole if there is any damage and yes, your company will handle the whole thing.

yes they will cover if you have collision coverage. You'll be responsible for the deductible (most people have $500 deductible, check your policy for yours) and they will pay the rest. If the damage takes less than your deductible to fix, you might as well not report it to your insurance and get it fixed yourself since they won't be paying any money.

You can try but unless it is going to be a big expense you may want to reconsider it. Your rates will go up and the cost may be prohibitive
