ANY way to get the word out how bad this company is? After 10wks they are still trying to pay me less than the stated value on the policy. They are not even returning calls to the gent that hit me. They are basically incouraging me to sue their client. These two planes were on the ground at the time of the accident. Mine was actually tied up and no one was in it. AIG SUCKS

Well, I don't know about AIG, but I did have a minor car accident and did file court papers against the insurance companies customer to get their attention, so, maybe that is what they are waiting for. The idea may be you will take 2/3 settlement because if you get a lawyer you will only end up with that much anyway even if you win for full amount. The way to try to get around this is to file the court papers yourself and then get a lawyer if it actually goes to trial. Sometimes filing is enough to get them to settle. Of course, they will say you had you plane tied up wrong in the wrong place so you are partially at fault. So make sure that it not a problem.

If you have a stated value policy then why in the world don't you use YOUR insurer? They will subrogate against AIG when settlement is made.

Get an attorney and sue. Then get a judgment for the value of the plane plus attorney fees plus damages for having to wait so long. You can charge them for the lost time of using your aircraft. Once you have the judgment, walk into their office and collect.

Try contacting your insurance company. They may have quicker ways to receive payments.
