Specifically, the weight? Vain reason: I lost about 25 lbs, & my license says my old weight.

My boyfriend was in an accident a couple months ago, it was the other guy's fault and the other guys insurance company already sent a check for my boyfriends car which was totaled. He has been going to the chiropractor for the last two months, and we have decided not to hire an attorney because they are so expensive. Niether of us has ever been in this situation before, so how should we go about settling? What should we ask for and how? We are both in college and this accident has caused both physical pain for my boyfriend as well as a tremendous inconvieniance of having only 1 car. Any help would be appreciated.

I had an accident last week courtesy of a slippery road and a guy cutting me off (he did not stop and i have no info) My car is damaged past it's worth and I'm getting another one this weekend. My dilema is this. I notified my insurance company, but haven't claimed any damages. (The car isn't worth a lot and I'm just trading it in so I don't want to repair it.) My chiroprator found nerve strain in my back more than I had previously and it has been bothering me a bit, but I have a high pain threshold anyway. He's advising me to file "no fault" medical claims and have my auto insurance company pay for increased visits (I was down to once every two weeks) and he wants me to come back a few times a week again now that my tests are showing this strain and I'm in a bit more pain. Will filing this "no fault" increase my rates when I come up for renewal? Or will they go up anyway? I'd like to go back for more visits, but I don't want to pay more in rates if I can help it. Should I file?

I was in a car accident today with another vehicle. It was his fault and we both exchanged insurance information but he and I both don't want to deal with insurance if we don't have to. Do we have to file a claim???? My husband wants me to call the guy and ask him to pay for my damages instead of going through insurance but I just think that is wrong. The accident was due to icy weather so although it was his fault, it wasn't intentional...So I don't know what to do!!!!

After I filed a calim with my own and adversary insurance , and 5 months later after the arbitration between my insurance and adversary insurance, the case was resolved in my favor finding the advesary driver at fault . Now the adversary insurance is supposed to compensate me for my damages , but they refuse to on the basis that i did not have collision coverage . Please explain and what can I do now? FYI I have a liability insurance

We pay so much in car insurance and have yet to have a wreck or anything. Not to mention the ridiculous amount for car tags. (Thank God)I say it is a rip off because my grandmother had insurance with a certain company for years. She always paid on time, sometimes for months at a time. She was in an accident that was not even her fault and the insurance company totaled her car and booted her from the insurance. She is not able to drive now, but I still think that sucks.

a year ago my car was parked in a public car park. During the night, unknown persons had stolen a car, parked it next to mine, and set it alight. My car was a right off, but my insurers would not pay me a penny because they said that it wasn't actually my car that had set alight! The police could not trace the owner's of the stolen vehicle (which I found strange). To this day I am still baffled as to why they would not accept my claim. Was this right? I had third party, fire and theft insurance.

I bought a car insurance for my housemate who promised that if I buy his car insurance + mine (as a second driver) he would take me with him for practice lessons. Now I have bought the insurance(on 19th nov) using my credit card and he doesn't want to follow what he said!! after some heated argument I decided to cancel the insurance but is it legal for me to cancel it over phone by giving his details(date of birth) as he's the primary applicant.

P.S: I bought the insurance online

My husband's car had met with an accident last dec. The occupants in the other car against which his car had collided sustained minor injuries. He took them to the hospital and gave them first aid etc. They had filed a case for compensation in june 2006. The case is being fought out between their lawyer and the insurance company representing my husband as the car had third party comprehensive insurance. My husband has not been involved in the proceedings, he only gets the summons from the court requiring him or his lawyer to be present for the hearing. Till date he has not gone for any hearing as the insurance company has adviced that their lawyers will be representing him. Now we have been transferred to tamil nadu from Karnataka. What are the formalities that my husband should follow before leaving this place with respect to court proceedings or change of address etc.
