Would be on for two weeks, off for a few days, back on or two weeks, etc.. Dealer said it was a bent evap cannister, so that was replaced last Saturday, light went off, about three days later it was on again, then two days later off, and as of now still off. I don't want to go back to the dealer to pay $$ for a diagnostic test and find nothing wrong, or replace something else that isn't the problem for mo money. Finally, no problems are noticed when the light is on.

I have a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme with only 67500 miles on it.

Randomly, (and more frequently now) my car has been going from running fine to running really choppy with real sluggish accelleration. And lately now it has been stalling more frequently and when I go to restart it, it will crank and crank with nothing happening, then later on it will fire right up.

Someone siad its my crank position sensor, are they right?

88 olds cutlass supreme, front wheel drive, automatic, 2.8 L, port fule injected.

normal pressure at fuel rail, fuel pump ok, throttle positon sensor ok, idle are ok, no vaccuum leaks, linkage ok, tranny ok.

Any help is appreciated.

I have found out from using the VIN chassis number of my ford focus that the bulid date was 13/12/98, but what exactly does the bulid date tell you? Does it necessarily mean that the engine was made on that date or a few weeks after the car body was put together?

I have settled on buying either a 2006 Mercury Milan OR a 2006 Ford Fusion. I prefer the appearance of the Milan's TAIL, but love the GRILL of the Fusion. Alas, life's huge dilemmas. Anyway, I'd like input about which car is the better choice, and why. Thanks!

What makes me wonder is how a lot of the Chrysler 300C and the Crossfire are built and designed from Benz components, the 300C being formed with a lot of E-Class sedan hardware and the Crossfire using many components from the SLK. If the Benz side of things is no more, will Chrysler have to give up on the 300C and the Crossfire? That would suck.
