Well, the answer is fuel related, you have determined that so lets hit the list. We start by assuming that all of the vacume hoses are connected and that your car runs well.

a. Is there a fuel filter in the line? Replace it... its cheap and even if the old one is good you will eliminate that possibility.

b. Is the choke manual or electric. Is it working.

c, If that fails then your carb is bad. Prob, the float. or the float valve that will not let the bowl refill but at that point it doesnt matter. You can either get a rebuild kit or just buy a new one. The carbs are not expensive nor are they hard to replace (two nuts and then plug in all the other stuff.)

Check JC Whitney for a carb if you dont have a local source

Common problem==fuses corrode on the ends an lose contact. Sand them off gently an good as new. Carb. ices up in extremly cold weather, if not running correct hoses to factory breather. On old 6 volts horns pathetic. Poor heat from pipes connecting from heater boxes to body, also heater cables not adjusted right. Still the most enjoyable type cars I ever owned.
