Goto the HELP section at your local "Advanced Auto Parts Store" if you have one in your area. There will be a whole new unit to buy for only five bucks that you can unscrew yours from the back and replace with this new one. If yours is stuck so bad you cant pull it out it means it is full of corrosion and the new ones are soo cheap it is easier to replace the entire thing as opposed to trying to separate the corroded one you have. Just unscrew the mounting ring in the back and replace the whole unit for five bucks. It is in a red package marked "Help" products. I hope this "helps".......

Try this way and you might get it out without much trouble.
1. Press the cigar igniter inside.
2. Now press inside again (a bit harder)
The inner lock will crumple and release
3. Gently pull the lighter outside

Thats it.

Hope this helps you.
