I have settled on buying either a 2006 Mercury Milan OR a 2006 Ford Fusion. I prefer the appearance of the Milan's TAIL, but love the GRILL of the Fusion. Alas, life's huge dilemmas. Anyway, I'd like input about which car is the better choice, and why. Thanks!

Think of it this way...do you like the back of the fusion better than the front of the Milan? Or is it the other way around? Base your choice on this,

Mercury Milan Vs Ford Fusion

As a Fusion owner, I know they are basically the same car. Personally, I think the Fusion looks better, front and back, on the outside.

Again, while basically the same car, they do have different styling as you've noticed. I'd say, if you can't really find anything that would make you want to buy the Milan over the Fusion, buy the Fusion. It's cheaper.

So far I'm very pleased with my V6 Fusion. I have yet to find even the smallest flaw mechanically or in fit and finish. Be warned though, the EPA mileage on the V6 is woefully optimistic. Several V6 owners are reporting mileage more like 15 city, 25 highway in real world driving. My own average is betwen 18 and 90 for mixed driving.

I like the 2006 Ford Fusion because of the grill, but it's design in my own opinion is a lot neater that the 2006 Mercury Milan.

Feature-for-feature, their prices are almost identical (see source link below -- I believe a fully loaded Milan is a couple hundred less than a fully loaded Fusion).

Personally I prefer the styling of the Milan better.

If you're really even on them, I would go with whoever has the better dealer, both in the sales and service departments. Reward whichever dealer treats you right.

I don't know which is better and I'm saying this from a "girl's" perspective but the Ford Fusion is way cuter than the Mercury Milan. I had a friend who had one in black and it was hot. Hope that helps!

Two good choices! Basicly, they are exactly the same vehicle. I would recommend the Milan. It is more appealing from the inside. You could always have the fusion grill installed. They should interchange without any modification.

I would buy the cheaper of the two since they are basically the same car. If one had heated seats, a moon roof, or something else the other had THAT would change my choice. I say pick the one that costs less or that you can finance for less, even if it's only around 100 bucks. Otherwise pick by what color they have in the lot or something.
