Car Makes - April 2007

Its got spark on all cylinders, gas coming out of each spark plug hole. Timing chain checked,crank positioning sensor replaced,cam sensor replaced. Only seems to be firing on number one. And seems to have compression. And does anyone know if it has a roll over switch or inertia switch and if so where is it located at? Any help would be deeply appreciated.

There entry level trim sucks, only gets 140 horse power, while for only $790 more you can get the scion tC entry level has 160 horse power, has more standard features than the civic plus looks a heck of alot better. The only advantage i see that the civic having is MPG which is only 7 MPG more than the scion, for only 7 MPG less i would much rather have 160 horse power belive it or not it makes a difference. PLUS scion is made by Toyota which has the best resale value and the most reliable company out there.

i have a 2005 acura TL and i'm about to hit 30k miles soon.

what service do they perform for 30k checkup at the dealership? is it just checking the fluid levels or does it involve a lot more? what's the average cost for this service?

also do i have to get this service done at the dealership or can i take the car to any mechanics? what do you recommand?

I've Got a Vauxhall Astra 1.8 16V, i was Raceing a 3.2 V6, and i put the pedel to the floor, it wheelspined in 1st then when i put it in 2nd the rev counter started jumping 5000rpm - 5500rpm -6000rpm it just jumped to them rev's put they wheels were screeching a little bit then wen i put it in 3rd i was at 65mph and it just screeched alittle bit!! is this a sign that ecotec is a very powerful engine

My husband recently purchased a used 2003 Chevy S10. He's trying to change the wheels out, but for some reason, he can't get the rear wheels off. He removed the lugnuts already, but there seems to be some sort of 'lock' in the center of the rim. He's tried hammering it to loosen it, and also spraying WD-40 on it, but it's not budging. Does anyone know anything about this?!? Thanks in advance for any help!

Automatic transmission slips in Drive or Reverse - but not all the time. ATF is clear and red (not burnt). It appears to be an electrical problem.

i was told it was in the middle of the motor,and there are two pullies in the middle up top, but i didn't see any kind of longbolt for the tensioner - the two pullies i DID see look like they opperate with some kind of spring mechanism.

You can't even push it, like it's stuck i park. It'll "jump" into drive after messing with it for a while, but when it's stuck, even putting it into neutral - it won't budge. Someone said the Parking Paw is messed up. Can anyone explain what this means and how much it might be to repair?

my car just stopped in the middle of the street and when i took it to the mechanic they charged me 175 (for the tools) and 800 for the labor which is so expensive thats why i was wondering if i can fix it on my own or if there is another way to do it cheaper....? they said the problem was with the flywheel it was worn out and they had to resurface it. so i dont know what to da but if there are anybody that knows about it please help me i know nothing about cars:( thanks

I was under the impression, from all the research I did myself and research done by local mechanics, that the SE and GXE were almost identical in every way except for an all-digital dash on the GXE (luxury) edition. However, I came to find out that there are some other key differences, including requiring 15" wheels instead of 14" like on every other edition Maxima from that year. Does anybody know if the power steering racks are identical, or am I going to hafta find somewhere else for a spare rack?
