Can i just go to a ford dealer and order a GT500 or not?

Yes and no, the dealers are only alloted a few of the Shelby's. Most of the dealers will demand a premium for the car. I do know there is one at Oxmoor Ford in Louisville, a black coupe GT500 in the showroom. Look them up and see what they want for it. It listed about 48K I think. Good luck

They are usually pre-sold.

Bob Howard Downtown Ford in Oklahoma City has one for sale right now.

you can also go to the SVT website. remember, shelby only worked WITH SVT on this, not exclusive designing. you can order and have it shipped to your home, nearest dealer, or you can have a pickup where you get a tour of the shelby factory where they made your car.
