We have a friends Nissan Micra outside our house. They have not moved it for a while and now the battery is dead. We can´t even get into the car to open the bonnett because it has electric locks (and we have tried the key in the door). How can you get into the car in order to jump start it?

Try opening the boot and try to crawl through. If no luck, you will have to get on the floor and with a straight coat hanger, reach up and try to pull the bonnet latch.

Surpised the key didn't work. Still, if you scramble under the front you can get at the bonnet release mechanism.
