Sherry, I've robbed many suspension parts from the smaller Blazer frames for my S-10 and they fit perfectly.

Here's what I'd do If I were you. Go to your local Chevrolet dealer parts dept. and compare frame part numbers from both vehicles. Check your wheelbase with a Blazer's.

We have an automotive yard in our area which have parts cars and trucks supported with wheel rims under frame rails so we can take exact measurements of body mounts from beneath the vehicles.

I think your on to something. Your intended project should work fine. I do no this however. The Blazer has a rear anti-roll bar and your S-10 does not. The plate under the rear leaf springs must be retained from the Blazer as the anti-roll bar link connects to it. You will need to make the upper attaching bracket and weld it to both frame rails above the rear axle.

Good luck with your project.

Width wise they are the same, length wise they are different. Not by much though. You can move the spring frame mounts on the rear to make it work if need be.

nicely....that inventory 10 bolt won't cope with 600hp. there are a number of common techniques to construct your rear end. i'd start up by ability of reducing the physique on the cab, slender it with a Z section and latter bars with the two coil overs or air bags. you will additionally desire a pan demanding bar (music bar) to maintain the axle known. The latter bars will aid you to hook up. It rather relies upon on how plenty you're prepared to spend.
