Ford Mustang VS. Chevy Corvette?

Question

i'm a die hard mustang fan but i just wanted to see how many losers like corvettes. They Suck :P

Shelby GT500 Rocks oh yea!

To Dodge: Sorry to say but Motor Trend Magazine has recently done some "test driving" with the GT 500, Corvette and Dodge Viper (Sucks). The tests have concluded that not only did the GT 500 come out on top but was also awarded best handling and acceleration. Hope that clears things up for you

LOL I bet a regular Mustang could out run a ZO6 even tho it has a 500 hp engine!

Any Aston Martin Could Outrun all of those cars but the mustang GT 500 would come in second defintely.

Oh yea and Chevy is kinda stupid because they initially came up with the "KR" Meaning "King of the Road"
Carroll Shelby liked the name and asked if it was patented yet and it wasnt so Shelby immeaditly put a patent on it. rofl chevy is so stupid.

I love Mustangs! Corvettes are alright, but I only like ones from the 70's to the 90's. I would totally take a Shelby Cobra GT500 over a Corvette any day though. And as for Shelbys not beating Corvettes did anyone hear about the new Shelby Cobra GT500KR? It is going to come out in spring of 2008 and have 550 Horsepower!

Hey, guys take it easy on him. He is probably only 12 and doesn't even own a car. Otherwise he would know better than to compare a Mustang to a Corvette. It's ok buddy, one day when you're older you can buy your self a cute Mustang. Just stay away from anything that has an LS1-LS7(that's what the camaros, corvettes, and GTOs have). It would be really upsetting for you to get stomped by a real car. Good luck little buddy.

wikipedia: The January 2007 issue of Road & Track featured a comparison test between the Shelby GT500, Mustang GT/CS, Corvette C6 with the Z51 package, and Corvette Z06.[3] The 500 hp GT500 performed 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds where as the 400 hp Corvette C6 made it in 4.3 seconds. The 505 hp C6 Z06 completed this in 3.4 seconds. The GT500 performed a quarter-mile test in 12.9 seconds at 112 mph where as the Corvette C6 made it in 12.8 seconds at 113 mph (Z06 in 11.9 seconds at 125 mph). These results may be due to the GT500 (3950 lb) being 660 lb heavier than the Corvette C6 (3290 lb) and Z06 (3130 lb). In comparison, the 300 hp Mustang GT/CS had a 0-60 mph time of 5.3 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 13.9 seconds at 103.0 mph.

personally ide prefer a gt500 more than a c6/zo6. but these are just facts.
but overall ide prefer a bmw m3 or an evo

I read that too, it did not say the mustang was the best. The Mustang was the slowest, heaviest, worst handling car out of all of them. Plus, its top speed is 153mph. The corvette goes up to 186mph and the Viper goes 190mph.
There is no competition.
The mustang does not even compter with those cars. the mustang competes with other muscle cars, not supercars.
The mustang competes against muscle cars like the Dodge Charger, Chevy Camaro, Pontiac GTO, Audi S4/RS4, the new BMW M3, and the Mercedes Benz C-class AMG.

The Corvette will easily win against the v6 stang. All the times posted for the Corvette were done using rock hard bias-plie tires which are absolute garbage compared to modern tires.

i like the Shelby's also ,but sadly enough one wont beat a good corvette, its been tried and not done too may times,the gt 500 is a real nice car,but its not a good match for a real good running corvette,i have owned one of each at one time,and having owned one of them i can personally say the mustang would not have beaten the corvette,sad but true,good luck hope this helps.

Corvettes definetely dont suck. I'm a fan of both of these timeless cars but I think I'd take a lingenfelter corvette over a shelby gt500

Im sorry, but the Z06 would kill the gt500 in every test... I do love the gt500s but you should try to be a little opened minded about your muscle cars, the new viper is pretty damn fast too...

While the new 'stang is indeed a real hot looking and hot running car, the 500HP Z06 Corvette will run circles around it.
