First of all for HOTWHEELS -- Hyundai is not a "cheap car"
Hyundai is rated as the #3 car in the world for consumer satisfaction and initial quality -- rated behind only Lexus and Porsche (notice Honda and Toyota where not in the top 3)
Compared to Camry and Accord: Sonata is roomier, quieter, more powerful, has more standard features (including side airbags in both rows, and electronic stability control), more trunk space, a MUCH better warranty and better crash safety.
Excellent value, excellent car

Value is based on perception. I have two daughters, both in colllege and both drive a Sonata. The model with the V6 has had a few repairs [ball joint & radiator] and the 4 cyl model has had weird electrical problems. For instance, the power locks will lock unpredictably and the passenger will have to exit the vehicle via the drivers door. All things considered, I would buy again, especially compaired to the rust-bucket Honda their mother drives. Same rust belt conditions, and the Accord has both rear wheel openings looking like Swiss cheese. Trade in value on the Honda is less due to rust, thought it cost more to purchase. When someone knocks Korean and compairs it to a Japanese vehicle, they don't realize a lot of Japanese makers sub-contract to Korea. It's an international world. My high end Toyota has parts from all over the planet, so assembled in XYZ country means nothing.

I own a 2007 Sonata LTD with a V6. I like the car very much and except for the rattles and creaky noises I would have rated it 10 out of 10.

Like its price, it ranks slightly below a comparable Accord/Camry/Altima, but slightly ahead of Malibu, Focus, and Avenger. Definitely a great car for the money, I'd buy it before a an Accord for sure though the Sonata is almost as common place as those Japanese cars now. Overall its an 8.3 out of 10.

Have owned many Hondas & Acuras, love my 2001 Hyndai Tiburon. Have 110K on it with no problems.
Ignore the "know it all" Jap car snobs whom have never owned a Hyundai, have over paid for thier Jap cars.
Locating good Jap cars is tough, since Typically beat on by thier teenaged owners.

2 out of 10. It's a cheap car. Hyundai cars are always knock offs of some Japanese cars. They are usually known to be cheap cars.
