maybe its the clutch... because when i put the car in 1st gear then step on accelerator then car wont move until i reach 4000 rpm then it will slowly start to move... then i try going to 2nd gear and does the same thing... i always have to wait till rpm goes up then the car moves... anything i can do to fix it?????

hello i was wanting to know some things i have a 305 in it and it is all stock but i was wanting to know what kind of upgrades i could do to the 305 to get it kickin a little harder i would like to have a ruff lumpy sounding cam can someone give me stuff that they have done to the camaro i didnt want to put a 350 in it yet but what ever you know it will help me,like heads carb intake etc.

I hear a strange knocking noise, especially when I start it cold. Before I heard this noise, I do admit, I would run it pretty hard. I change my oil every 3,000 miles with Castrol Syn and I keep up to date with all my fluid exchanges, air filter etc... When I have it at Idle, I rev it between 1300 and 1500 rpm and the engine and steering wheel vibrate pretty hard, when I pass 1500 it idles smooth. The knocking noise seems to be coming from the bottom of the engine. I also have a rear main seal leak..can anyone tell me what the sound may actually be? And am I better off selling it? or actually fixing these problems. This may be off the subject, but recently, I had a dream that I had 2 suitcases full of money in my car...this may denote that I will be putting to much money into the car, money in which I do not have. I had this dream 2 days before me hearing this sound. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.

Can anyone suggest me few ideal tires for Nissan Maxima 2003 car with dimensions 215/55/R17. I need to get couple of tires replaced. I checked the price of the tires. Each tire costs me around $150.00.
Can I go for 17 inch tires with different dimensions which are inexpensive? My budget is between $150-$200 for 2 tires.

ok i have 302 i am rebuilding to put in a 1978 cj 5. I purchased the intake from a 1991 grand marquis. The block i belive is an 87 and has the e7 te heads . I have been doing research and i wanted to know what is needed to make this engine an "h.o" or is it even worth it to do it. The intake comes with the engine harness but i also wanted to know what harness would be good to get for the computrer. I know i need the computer and harness but what vehicle would be a good donor?

Noob here so please be gentle.

I've recently seen a 1986 Alfa Spider with 80k miles on sale by a local dealer. I've always wanted a convertibela nd the Spider seems like something different from all the others and might be a bit of a head-turner.

I'm not very much into DIY and don't know much about tinkering with engines and what have you. What are the major things to look out if I decide to go check out the car and what are going to be my most major headaches with it (and appox cost)

I know that both companies are not doing so good, and chrysler just closed 2 plands and laied( or hower ever you spell it) off 13,000 some odd people. Will chevy and ford survive into the future or will the forign cars go out too?

I have a 2004 Sebring. It has 70K miles. About 5k miles ago the car would stutter and feel like there was a lack of take off power. It would really act up when the AC was on and I was running idle.
Well, I changed the spark plugs and the issue went away ......until this week. It is not as serious as before but I am afraid that it will come back. Is there anything else I can try myself before taking it to the shop to get bent over?
It is a 4 cylinder 4 door sedan again 70k miles.
