Doesn't matter. With that budget you can't get the proper tires for that car's driving style. A couple of kumhos ( maybe $70 - $80 each). They are cheap and somewhat decent but you may have to go with a 45 series tire (215/ 45/ r17 or 225/45 /r17 etc) (don't sweat the speedometer reading, you - like me, probably break the speed limit anyway. 55 series tires are really expensive and hard to find unless you live in a big city. These tires may be noisy or may not be as durable or may not ride as nice but you need to drive right?

RE:
Ideal Tires for Nissan Maxima 2003?
Can anyone suggest me few ideal tires for Nissan Maxima 2003 car with dimensions 215/55/R17. I need to get couple of tires replaced. I checked the price of the tires. Each tire costs me around $150.00.
Can I go for 17 inch tires with different dimensions which are inexpensive? My budget is between...

I have an 03 maxima SE and it's been a great car I have 153,000 miles on it and still goes and looks as good as new. just keep up on the oil changes and its regular maintenance and do not put the cheap crappy gas in it that car has a high compression engine and requires octane 91or 93 gas no less then that trust me I found that out the hard way.Hope this helps

Tire Rack has a wonderful site. You can compare lots of different tires for all kinds of specs, like dry weather performance, wet weather performance, durability, etc. etc. etc.

Even if you don't buy from them (I believe their prices are pretty good, though), you can really choose some good tires using their site. And no, I don't work for them, LOL

You must remember that the size tires you have are considered performance so tire will not be cheap. What you can do is two things. First start looking around for prices. Most places will price match another competitors price for the same tires. Secondly try looking online for prices. The best are tires.com or tirerack.com There usually cheaper and they will ship the tires to your house and you can have them mounted and balanced somewhere else. Michelins are very good tires. Their a little pricy but you’ll thank yourself in the future.

Previous body style Maxima those were great cars. Just keep the engine and trans oil's changed and clean air filters it will last till the kids grow up. Many of my customers have over 500,000 miles no engine or trans repair

I'd say look at the Kumho Solus KH-16 tire. It comes with a 60k mileage warranty, nice touring style tread design, and a fair price.

The Goodyears that are OE on that car are crap. When my 2005 needs them I plan to go to Sam's and get Michelin MX4 Energy like I had on my 2000 Passat. They were terrific.
