I have a 95 Chevy Lumina 3.1 and the problem is I drive around first thing in the morning when the engine is cold and the temperature will rise all the way upto 260 (Red line) and is blowing cold air out the vents. I took it to a mechaninc who purged the air out of the system, and that worked after i took it from him (engine still warm), next morning did the same thing (hot no heat), mechanic then changed t-stat that he replaced last year. Doing the same thing (hot no heat). i then have looked around and heard either intake manifold gasket or head gasket. i then took it to the mechanic to see again what he thought it could be, he called around to his mechanic buddies and said probably head gaskets. but there is no oil or anti freeze in each other so there is no leak going to ruin the engine. So i was going to change the intake man. gaskets but i decided to take to another garage and they said there was a small leak in the water pump and changed that... still the same problem...HELP!!!!

I have a convertable camaro z28 and I'm wondering is anyone has any ideas on how to minimize the noise from the air that's getting in. I got into a friend's 2005 convertable and it was an air-tight seal. Any idea how I can reduce the noise from the air?

My 2000 GMC gas gage keeps bouncing around. Sometimes it says the correct level, then the next thing I know, it reads empty. I can have a full tank of gas but is still reads empty and/or takes its time shpwing full. What can be the problem. A friend told me it might be a relay, but I dont have the money to take it into the shop for a diagnostics test. Please help!

up guys, i need help choosing cars, i am currently 17 , working at a sushi bar for $16.50 pre hour (been putting in work over there for almost 2 years now) , and driving a F'D up 95 camery . I was wondering if i should buy a type R. But before you tell me that it isn't right for me to get a car that has so much potential in it at such a young age, let me tell u this. if i do get it im not changing a thing to it. Keeping it STOCK and the car's true beauty with it! I ain't goana put a tranformer body kit on it to make optimus prime or megatron jealous or some ish like that. I anit goana race that much either, i've seen too many people get kill over racing, and even if i was goana race, iama race in a legit and legal place. I want this car because its a eye catcher to any ricer on the road with a 93 civic and a F'D up muffler, and plus the ladies like guys with fast cars. The insurance is goana kill me but i dont care, im a good driver with a clean record and a GREAT JOB. If anything i would be fine with having a GSR, but leaning toward type R because of the LSD tranny. And i anit worried about thief cuz they goana taste my 9mm luger, plus iama have a kill switch with gps installed.So what you guys think i should do?

Its a 1975 chevy 350 & the mechanic said "Those headers always leack exhaust". But I'd rather use them than not. so how much power would it gain. I've read that the engines only 165 HP stock but I think it was rebuilt so I'm unsure if its stock inside or not. Its extremely clean with no leaks visible.

Are the 80's Porsche 924 still realible cars today?
What I mean is can you actually drive them and take care of them with cump's change? Please if you can tell me about how much is it to maintain every single thing on a 924 a year? Also can they be driven as daily drivers, because I love Porsche's but I just want one and I can get a 30-40k Porsche but I just want to spend 5k or less on one, so I can have a Porsche, but still treat it as if it were a crappy kick around car and never worry about it. The future of Acura could be very interesting. First, the redesign of the new MDX is quite stunning and features many firsts for the Acura brand including Power Tail Gate, Damper System, 300 Hp V-Tec Engine and various other options. Soon the new TSX will be coming out (later this year) and the New TL (next year). And we know the next TSX and TL will be extraordinary in perfomance, comfort and looks. What is your opinion on what the future Acura product will be like? And can't really understand the new Altima commercials comparing it to the TL and Accord which are about 4 years old... I find that funny how desperate Nissan is to compare their new car even though the TL and Accord have been out for longer.

Every moring when i get up and try to leave in my car it wont go in gear i have to sit and let it run for 15-20 min before it will go in gear i have been told that i need a new transmission, a new throttle body, new sensors on my transmission and i dont know anything about all this stuff im a high school student trying to graduate so if its anyone out here that can help me please help.

I think I broke it please help! My 2004 Grand Cherokee is making terrible noises when turning, feels very rumbly when driving and any movement of the wheel. Very strange. I had it in 4 wheel drive to get out of a snowbank I was parked in and it seems like it hasn't disengaged since. I'm not sure what I broke? I am 300 miles away from the warranty being gone. I'm afraid to drive it anywhere. I tried backing it up and moving the wheel numerous time but it still won't disengage. Not sure what else to do! Can someone help?

My mom has an 02 jeep grand cherokee limited and about once a week the check engine lite comes on and once you shut it off it doesn't start or anything. the headlites are bright all electrical works but it won't turnover. We have taken it to the dealer they replaced the battery cables and said nothing was wrong. The next week still having problems. We have to disconnect the battery for about a half hour sometimes before it will start. I did the turn key 3 times to do the OBD it put out a code p4033(i think thats right). Next day try to start the car about 28degrees nothing happens tried to jump it off..nothing. try the check code..nothing.. If anyone else is having or have had this problem please let me know cause the dealer cant fix it and it sucks!

please take the time to read all this. me and my buddies bought a 83 chevy truck that were gonna use for parts. we tried to start it by just puttin some gas in and that didnt work, so we put some starter fluid in the carburator then some gas, and it runs on that for a couple seconds and then dies, we had it runnin and then sprayin every 2 seconds to keep it runnin. with the fluid, it runs perfect and takes full rev then without it, it dies. we think its the fuel pump, because I have a 75 and it starts up in this weather. (it is about 10 degrees here with below zero chill factor)

I NEED A DIAGRAM OF A CARB FOR A 1989 JEEP LAREDO ITS A FUEL INJECTED SYSTEM.4.0 L ON START UP THE VEH. IDLES FINE BUT AS IT WARMS UP IT STARTS TO REV UP REAL BAD UP TO 2000 RPM.
