I have a convertable camaro z28 and I'm wondering is anyone has any ideas on how to minimize the noise from the air that's getting in. I got into a friend's 2005 convertable and it was an air-tight seal. Any idea how I can reduce the noise from the air?

I've got a 94 Stang Gt convertable & have minimum noise.Sounds like your rubber seals are shot. The top can look good but seals are brittle. One disadvantage to owning a ragtop. My wifes sunfire is noisy but I'm replacing top in spring.Good luck.

Convertible tops are fabric. The material shrinks over time. You cannot "unshrink" material. You would have to have the top replaced. And, you will get no guarantee that the problem will be solved.
The only sure fix: trade the car in on a coupe.

To make the necessary corrections after checking and correcting the weather strips for fit and wind leakage, use silicone spray or silicone wax on the weather strips to fill in the pores.
