Well, what I am hauling isnt 3000 pounds, Im hauling a small 6x12 enclosed trailer, but Uhaul says my bumper has to hold a 3k pound weight . The trailer itself most likely weighs 500-700 pounds and Im just carrying boxes of moving stuff

no it wont hold that much,it will pull it but when you hit the brakes hard ,it will fold the bumper up on it and possibly cause an accident, you,ll have to get a good under mount hitch for it,i had to on mine, the stock bumpers just wont take it,good luck i hope this help,s.

I have been towing a 3500 lb boat, PLUS the weight of the trailer PLUS a 10 HP outboard motor on the bumper hitch of my 2001 Chevy Blazer ,4X4, 4 door 4.3 V-6 for over ten years with no problem. The vehicle itself is rated to tow 6000 pounds. There seems to be a lot of uninformed people answering questions on this forum. That could be dangerous to one's safety and well being. Please don't answer unlss you know what you are saying to be factual.

I would bet your Blazer could hold a max of 500 lbs tongue weight on the bumper. Putting in a class III or IV reciever hitch will take that weight up to about 1000 lbs. There ain't no way you're going to haul something with 3000 lbs of tongue weight with a 1/4 ton vehicle.

No. Your bumper can probably handle 300lbs max. You'd be better off getting a frame mounted tow hitch.

I think most chevy blazers are rated for about 5000lb trailer and 500lb on the hitch

Your bumper cannot hold any significant load,,,you need to install a class three hitch to your frame,,,,around $180,,,,,,,,,then you are good to go

no don't try it .you will probably tear something up . go to a u- haul rental store or similar type place .they sell and install everything you will need to safely tow according to your vehicle capacities. I 'v heard they are fair priced also.
