up guys, i need help choosing cars, i am currently 17 , working at a sushi bar for $16.50 pre hour (been putting in work over there for almost 2 years now) , and driving a F'D up 95 camery . I was wondering if i should buy a type R. But before you tell me that it isn't right for me to get a car that has so much potential in it at such a young age, let me tell u this. if i do get it im not changing a thing to it. Keeping it STOCK and the car's true beauty with it! I ain't goana put a tranformer body kit on it to make optimus prime or megatron jealous or some ish like that. I anit goana race that much either, i've seen too many people get kill over racing, and even if i was goana race, iama race in a legit and legal place. I want this car because its a eye catcher to any ricer on the road with a 93 civic and a F'D up muffler, and plus the ladies like guys with fast cars. The insurance is goana kill me but i dont care, im a good driver with a clean record and a GREAT JOB. If anything i would be fine with having a GSR, but leaning toward type R because of the LSD tranny. And i anit worried about thief cuz they goana taste my 9mm luger, plus iama have a kill switch with gps installed. So what you guys think i should do?

WOW, when i read this i totally thought of myself when i was 17. At 17 i bought a 2 year old integra ls( 96 ls and it was the year 1998). No body was going to tell me i couldnt afford the 17 thousand dollars it was going to cost me after all the loans where said and done. Plus the insurance and up keep. So im not going to tell you that no matter how much money you think you have you can not afford it. Cause when i was your age i wanted it so i talked myself into the fact that i could afford it. So with that out of the way i think you picked a great car with ample power for someone as young as yourself. If I had to choose between the two the gsr and the type R and knowing i was going to leave it completly stock i would choose the type R. But just rest assured i gaurantee with in the 1st 5 months you own it your going to do something to give it your personal touch. It could be after market stero, HID head lights, Tinted windows. Before you know it your car is no where near stock. So with that in mind the money you could save by buying an ls you could easly put some nice rims, tint the windows, buy a nice set of HID's and turbo charge the car. You would get more horse power out of it and it wouldnt look over kill like all these ricers i see in honda tuner. So i know you want the gsr or the type r and wanna leave it stock but im telling you i was the same way and now i got a 96 integra that does low 12s sitting on 18 inch rims full bodykit clean paint job and turbo charged. So what ever you do is cool but just remember the moment you spend all that money on the car and in 4 years you see something you wanted and then cant afford.

A type-r is a great car but for a 17 yr old its not worth the money. The GS-R has only 20hp less and has much more parts available to hop up the motor. Most type-r owners are looking to sell their cars to enthusiasts and make atleast 17-20 grand off the car. You can get the type-r tranny and LSD. I had those on my LS. Also you can get a type-r air dam for the front of the gs-r and basically make it look like a type-r without worrying about anything happening to an original type-r.

I say get a type r but be extremely careful. If you are positive you can keep it safe from thieves go with a type r. But if you are not sure you can always get an R in the future. It might not be worth it cuz once you have that power you will want to modify! SO
GSR IF you play it safe
Type R IF you can't
Oh and no matter what you think what you only been driving for a year but once you get a Teggy you will want to modify.
Don't forget about the dings from others cars...
Once you do get a teg check out the website...

I think you should be in school learning to spell and speak english...then I think you should act like the adult you are telling us you are...( by keeping your killing, 'ricer, fast boy thoughts to yourself.)

I'd buy a 2006 RSX-S....(but then I drive a 2002 RSX-S)
If I had to choose, I'd get the Type R, knowing that there are very few on the roads not already tricked up and have high mileage
because they no longer make them. (since 2001)

Personly i kinda like the GS-R better. I think the type-r's are overated. You would get more for the money if you got a GS-R. A type-r is pretty much made for racing and if you rnot gonna race or put mods in it then you should probably get a GS-R. They still have V-TEC.
