I accidentally reversed my car into a tree and I damaged the bumper. I took it to a collision repair shop and they said i have to replace the bumber they gave me an estimate of $1,200.00. I have collision coverage with my insurance. The deductible is $500. So does this mean that i will only be responsible for paying the first 500 dollars?
And will this mean that my car insurance rate will go up after this? If someone can give me a quick advise on this, im not exactly sure how it works.

I'm curious whether this is a common practice, especially in dealerships. Maybe I'm too cynical, maybe not.

I didn't want to say "fart smell" but that's what it basically smells like! I have an 04 Toyota Corolla with 73K miles on it. Lately I've noticed a smell coming from it. Don't know what it is? Could be the transmission fluid?

To spare my brakes going down this one hill, I put it in 2nd (2) and coast down at a nice comfortable 30mph. I'm under the impression that this is engine braking, same as on a stick, and that (1-2-3) on an automatic is designed for this (and towing)...am I wrong? And either way, is there any danger to my car by doing this regularly (not quite daily)? I'm driving an '01 Impala. Thanks.

I sanded metal body panels with like 80 grit sand paper with an air sander and there are scratches in the metal. Will like 3 coats of primer cover them or do i have to cover them with glaze?

You would think that they would be required because they produce more hydrocarbons that pollute the air. I love old muscle cars from the 60s and early 70s and I am very concerned as to why that subsist.
