You won't know until it breaks and then you will have a VERY large repair bill.... Get it changed at the recommended mileage, or take the consequences.

You don't. And it wont tell you either.
Follow your owner manuals manufacturer's recommended interval changes for the timing belt.
Honda's are usually between 60000 to 80000 miles.
they also rec. changing the water pump when you do the timing belt.
If you're doing the job, good luck.
If not, be prepared for a big bill.

One last note.
If a timing belt breaks you will usually need a new motor, especially in hondas.
It is the timing belts job to keep all the internals of the motor working in harmony.

You most likely will not have any warning. The Honda service interval under "normal" conditions is every 7 years or 105,000 miles whichever comes first.

I think the people above are looking for the word "interference engine" When the belt breaks it will bend the valves and you will need new/reconditioned cylinder heads.

I believe you need to read your owners manual. A timing belt breaking can casue problems. If you don't know get it changed before it breaks.
