Im not a smoker, so I dont need a lighter in my car. I think I heard once that you can take out the lighter and put a charger in the hole instead..but im not sure if thats true, and I really dont want to find out the hard way. So anyone know?

They are getting out of hand! I'm in Michigan and where i'm located, they average about $3.29/gallon. Just wondering if they are that high everywhere else....

I have a flat tire on the passenger side of my car. I went to get a new tire and I was told that no decent mechanic would sell me one tire for my jeep grand cherokee 'cause it would mess up my transfer case. I was told I had to buy four brand new tires if I didn't want any damage to my car. I went to two different places and got the same answer; Something about the difference in tread wear. I didn't buy anything 'cause I wasn't sure. It's my first car and I am just learning about car care. Anyone know if this is true?

I have changed the thermo, water pump, disconnected hoses and blew air thru the engine. I even disconnected the heater hose right at the water pump and started the engine and nothing, no water coming out of water pump. Still only cool air coming from blowers in truck. The water pump is working. I think there is a plugged journal or something somewhere so that it can get the proper flow. I am not a mechanical engineer.

I had it diagnosed at a local auto parts store and the printout said the system is too lean. Is there a way to adjust it or a way to program the computer without taking it to the dealer? Also it idles VERY rough. What can I do?

I need to use accessories while the ignition switch is off, but the accessory/lighter sockets turn off when ignition switch is off. I've seen many vehicles that have "always on" lighter sockets so I know it's possible. The vehicles manual says to contact a representative about making them "always on" but I don't any money to spend on that. If you know a way please tell me. Thank you kindly.

My wife may be traveling by train 6 hours on Amtrak in California. I have a friend picking her up on the other end. Some people think I'm crazy for letting my wife go by herself and not driving her down. I don't see the problem but maybe I'm wrong. Is it safe to send her on a train by herself? Is it sane?

PS - she's a smart and independent woman).

I have never seen a freight train stop. Maybe it's just the city I live in, but it seems like a freight train would stop at a few factories or something to load up, but I have never seen one stop. Passenger trains stop all the time at the station, but never freight trains which seem very long to stop anyways.

it turns off randomly at a complete stop or about to stop, and it takes a good 5 minutes to start back up. I have put in it a new distributor, a different mass air flow sensor, i have done tune ups on it, all fuel parts have been checked, i only use high octane gas, and yet my mechanic and Nissan cant seem to find the problem

It happened in april 06 and im still waiting. they eventually offered me 9,900 which my lawyer refused. My lawyer is now telling me that the ins company Geico is investigating because they beleive I have other coverage! I was a passenger who does not even have a drivers licence yet. Does anyone know how long it takes to get this thing over and done with? I did 6 months on chiro and 3 months of pain management.

I drove my truck for about an hour. Turned it off for 5 min and when i went to start it back up the aux lights turned on and right as i would expect to hear the starter kick in everything went completly dead. I checked the battery leads and all the fuses i knew about. Is there a main fuse or something like that between the battery and starter??

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

When you put your foot a the gas there is a popping sound coming from the air filter? It act like it wants to die but if you take your foot off the pedal it will stay running. Tried to pass a another car and had no power? Had to drive 30 mph.

Because the gas is to rich and that I have to much gas flow.
I don't understand what all this means. can someone explain to me what I can do, what I'm not doing right, or what's going on with my car I'm ready to just get rid of it. This car is just costing me alot of money on gas alone. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

when you press down on the throdle, the air ducts will close off and no air will come out, the fan is still working. when you lift off the excellerator the ducts reopen and air will again come out the ducts. What is causing this problem. thanks.
