I need to use accessories while the ignition switch is off, but the accessory/lighter sockets turn off when ignition switch is off. I've seen many vehicles that have "always on" lighter sockets so I know it's possible. The vehicles manual says to contact a representative about making them "always on" but I don't any money to spend on that. If you know a way please tell me. Thank you kindly.

if i remember right there is a relay available for that. it looks like a relay, but it actually has contacts that are wired together so the key doesn't have to be on. i remember putting these in, and i remember them being yellow instead of black, but it has been so long i can't remember the part number. go to the parts dept at your dealer and ask them. it should be less than $5.

be sure it really is no longer leaking oil. you could change/upload oil as oftentimes as you need yet when the hot oil is leaking proper out again, what's the point? Or it ought to easily be that the oil indicator is unsuitable...after all, it really is an American automobile and they are renowned for his or her low high quality and assorted defects.

you can simply re-wire the positive feed wire to the lighter to a fused side of the fuse panel we have did this on a few, some of the e-workers in our town use these, and they need to keep things going even with the key off,its simple wiring job and is still fused and protected ,it will still blow a fuse if overloaded,so its safe to do,good luck.
