Full tune up performed (and I mean FULL) and I still have a misfire. Can an exhaust leak cause a misfire?

forgot to mention, only happens when in closed loop (after the vehicle has reached normal temp)

ALL fuel, air, and ignition components have been replaced. compression test results were good. various sensors replaced including o2 sensor. the only thing I haven't even considered is an exhaust leak until today... someone mentioned it earlier which made me question the possibilty.

Yes.

But check other issues such as compression, stuck valve, etc.

Hope this helps.

Hard to say for sure. But you never know. Have a compression test done on the cylinders and see if you have a leaking valve or rings. Then take a look at the injectors and make sure that they are clean.

check for error codes in the cars computer. You might want to get the exhaust leak fixed. Some times they can emit pollution into the cabin and you can be breathing the carbon monoxide.

good luck.

An exhaust leak has no connection to a misfire. If you have a misfire you will get a (mil) check engine lidht. A misfire will be ignition or fuel injector. The mil will tell you which cyl. is the problem. If no mil then the miss is not fuel or spark related.

You could have a dead cylinder, an exhaust leak will sometimes act like a missfire but will give usually a o2 sensor code.
