down an incline & hitting the front - I explained how it happened
and the mechanic told my boss, "I find that hard to believe."
Should I demand that it be looked at by a professional
insurance auditor to show I am not a "liar"?

You know how it is...manual transmission...you get distracted....end up driving around town with the brake on...why can I still drive and barely notice a difference? Does this mean the emergency brake doesn't really work?

What is the best way to flatten someone's tires? Some idiot keeps parking in front of my driveway and blocking the road and I'm getting really sick of it. Should I just put some tacks behind the back tires? Would tails work better? Or what about pouring sugar in the gas tank? Does that really work?

Instead of a boring fly by with two planes going at a combined 1200 mph, just have one plane go at 1200mph.

We just bought a 2000 Volvo S40. It has about 47K miles and appears to be in good shape. We hadn't actually been looking at Volvos, but the price was low given the make and mileage. Looking it over, I could see no significant problems with the car.

I have experience with other Volvo models and, while their were problems, those experiences have been pretty good. Can we expect the same from this car?

What experiences have you had with S40's.

Is there any known problem with S40's we should watch for?

I soon realized after driving my car, that the chip has been removed, and a factory one put in its place. Im trying to figure out what is the best way to approach the dealer, without blowing up. There not allowed to change parts without stating it on the work order.

I have it confirmed by another tech that the chip is a factory one, and isnt chipped. The chipped one was quite obvious, with a big sticker across it. What to do/say?

thanks guys.

we have a 98 ford f150. My husband is very knowledgable about vehicles. He just changed the spark plugs, and now the truck won't start. When you turn the key it just "clicks". He tried cleaning the battery terminals. He said he didn't touch anything else. Anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong?

God Bless!

In California, to be able to drive in the carpool lane you only need two people. I feel that I have heard that a baby doesn't count.

90 auto. camaro rs v8. My fuel pump won't pump, but it will do the two second prime. I can prime it several times till the pressure is high enough to start the car but once started the fuel pump will not pump. My car has been switched to carb but i still have all the same fuel delivery equipment as fi. I have replaced the fuel pump, the fuel filter, can't find any blown fuses under the dash, and I also tried replaceing the little black box under the hood on the driver side close to the fire wall that says ED & CAF with some funky looken squigally lines between the two sets of letters and also had some number above that. there were 2 of these boxes identical to each other but I only tried replacing one which had no affect, should i try replacing the other one also(what is this box called)(I got mine off another camaro)? If i hook the + battery terminal to the red lead wire under the hood the fuel pump will pump so I can drive it but Im looking for a permanent fix. What else can be wrong

down to turn into a shopping plaza but have to wait for opposing traffic to clear - do I come to a complete stop (brake + clutch), which gear do I do that in or do I just go into neutral? Also, when trying to reverse, do I complete that process like I would with any other gear (shift to R then slowly release clutch and press gas or will the car automatically starting rolling into Reverse?)? Ugh sorry, another question...when I coming to a controlled intersection and I notice my light is red, am I pressing on the brake only to start slowing down and then press the brake + clutch fully when I need to stop or am I just downshifting? Sorry for the jumbled mess, I need to learn how to drive a manual transmission pretty quickly.
