my wind screen wiper makes a lot of noise and does not operate smoothly over the screen, it is very jerky.my car is a honda civic 1 year old. please help.

put new blades on it and wax your windshield with car wax.

Replacing wiper blades is one option. I would suggest you put a table spoon of a good washing liquid like "Lux" in the reservoir. This will not only make the travel of your blades smooth, but will wipe cleaner as well. You can also add a small quantity of ammonia glass cleaning liquid instead of the cleaning liquid, it gives the same effect, but the soap is smoother.

Sounds like you need new wiper blades. When they get old they get hard and brittle and make lots of noise. I would change them.
