we have a 98 ford f150. My husband is very knowledgable about vehicles. He just changed the spark plugs, and now the truck won't start. When you turn the key it just "clicks". He tried cleaning the battery terminals. He said he didn't touch anything else. Anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong?

God Bless!

Sounds like the battery is dead. Have him Jump start the truck. And then Fully Charge the battery.

Changing the plus would have nothing to do with it not starting. Another problem has developed. Check battery for charge, starter, etc.

Dead battery or a bad ground is most likely culprit.
Check battery voltage first at battery and then at starter.
Also check ground at the same two locations to make sure battery is grounded to frame and engine .

Just changing spark plugs didn't cause the problem.
Leaving the door open or the radio on, did.

Get a jump start, or charge the bettery.

If all the spark plugs are installed correctly, he might want to look at the harmonic balancer. Its on the front of the engine by all the other pulleys, probably the biggest bottom one!
