down an incline & hitting the front - I explained how it happened
and the mechanic told my boss, "I find that hard to believe."
Should I demand that it be looked at by a professional
insurance auditor to show I am not a "liar"?

Well, it was a crack in the safety box that swings out in front of the school
bus. It was the black box that holds
the safety arm. It hit the pavement, then
cracked a week later.
