If your emergency brake still works, then you didn't wear it out yet. You may have done a little extra wear and tear on your rear brakes though. It's also possible you broke your emergency brake cable....but I doubt it. If your worried about damage, you could always have a shop look at, they usually dont charge to inspect your car. The reason you can barely notice a difference when you drive with the brake on could be two reasons. First, you may not have had the emergency brake lever pulled all the way up, which is a good thing. Second, your rear brakes could be near the end of there life, so there's not a lot of resistance when you drive off. More than likely, I think your car is ok, you just wore down your rear brakes pads a little, but if your still worried, then take it to the shop.

Depending on what kind of vehicle you have, the parking brake holds the rear brakes. Check them for wear, if they are ok, no harm done. Some vehicles do have a seperate parking brake system, like the Kia Optima, but it is mostly used on vehicles with rear disc brakes.

Usually the e-brake works by apply the pads/shoes to the brake rotor/drum. You may have damaged the rotor or drum and may need a brake job.

reckoning on what variety of vehicle you have, the parking brake holds the rear brakes. verify them for positioned on, in the event that they are ok, no injury completed. some autos do have a seperate parking brake device, like the Kia Optima, in spite of the undeniable fact that it is in lots of circumstances used on autos with rear disc brakes.

You could've scewed up the brake shoes and rotors. If the parking brake is adjusted properly, and applied sufficiently, you shouldn't be able to move.
