I'm thinking of using either castrol GTX or Mobil 1 10w30. Ive always used Valvoline Maxlife 10w40 in my jeeps in the past. I live in central Ohio.

the outcome of a race like this would depend on: what kind of terrain are you racing on? is it a straight track or one with lots of curves and chicanes? are you going to be driving in 4WD mode? are the cars involved equipped with auto or manual transmissions? what load will the cars be carrying? what body type are the cars (wagon? tray? ute?) on a forest track, with 4WD engaged, the Pathfinder would actually beat the Expedition because of its power-to-weight ratio and the responsive nature of the engine. If the track is muddy and cars're equipped with mud tyres, then the Expedition is more likely to win the race due to its massive torque delivery. Again, the expedition is likely to get stuck in sand or mud because its a heavier car overall. I'm presuming that you're somewhere in the US. I haven't been in the antipode for a while, but presume things haven't changed much with these models.

I love castrol... That is what my fleet uses. I would recommend whatever the dealer says. Its probally listed on the oil fill cap or just call the dealer.
