I have State Farm and it covers anyone over 25 that drives my vehicles. Don't believe that the car is insured and covers anyone you give permission to drive. All companies have their own restrictions. Think about it. If this were true, how many people would not need to be insured?

It varies for each insurance company. I work for Allsatte, and they will insure anyone you give permission to drive your car, but there are some exceptions. If someone lives in your house, but they do not have their own insurance, Allstate will not pay if they have an at fault.
YOu should just call around and ask different companies.

It all depends on the state you live in. Most states insure the vehicles not the drivers. And if someone else is driving your vehicle, read your policy to see if they would be covered if ever in an auto accident.

you have probably seen the 21st Century commercial. It's a bunch of crap because all policies cover the damage to the vehicle no matter who was driving, assuming you gave them permission or they are excluded from your policy.
You would be aware of the excluded driver prior to them driving the vehicle.
You will be made to add or exclude the unlisted driver to your policy after the accident.

Any driver is covered under your policy as long as they have permission to drive your car. Remember, you will be responsible for anything that happens.
