I purchased a 1991 Civic that needs both rear power window motors replaced. I found the same car at a salvage yard and tried to pull the motors but cannot figure it out. I removed all of the screws holding the motor to the door but there is one more bolt connecting the motor to the window. The problem is I cannot reach it because the window in in the "closed" position. How can I lower the window so that I can access the bolt? OR, how do I remove the bolt with the window closed?

2002 car doesn't use any oil, until we get to about 1 plus years without changing it (only do <2000 miles.year). Then it will go down 1/6 of quart per 1000 miles driven.. No leaks.

I will be out of the country for two years doing a peace corps type volunteer program, I am currently on my father's car insurance and don't own my own car. I pay about $400 a year to have the right to drive one of his cars. Is it worth cancelling my insurance for two years or will the uninsured penalty be worse. I am currently 22 and a recent college grad. Thanks for any help.

My 1985 Toyota Mr2 will not shift into gear when it's on.

I had originally thought the problem was air in the clutch system, but when numerous attempts to bleed it did not work we replaced the Master Cylinder, Still nothing, next we put in a new clutch kit, and still..

I can't get my car into gear, and when i do it takes a lot of grinding/rev matching to do so.

There's a possibility of it still being air in the system, but at the same time i was wondering if anyone would have insight on if it could even be the Transmission it self?

It shifts smoothly when the car is off & ran perfectly for the first few days i had it..

But this has become one hell of a frustrating situation, any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
All of a sudden it wasn't working and it's been up on jack stands since.

My car got hit by a garbage truck at home in my parking lot.Guilty party is offering to pay for the repairs by check w/o insurance company getting involved. Now,this just happened 24 hours ago and so far they seem to be cooperating just fine.Just in case they should try to screw me,how much time do I normally have to inform THEIR insurance company about the incident? Is it 10 days,14 days or 30 days???
