My 1985 Toyota Mr2 will not shift into gear when it's on.

I had originally thought the problem was air in the clutch system, but when numerous attempts to bleed it did not work we replaced the Master Cylinder, Still nothing, next we put in a new clutch kit, and still..

I can't get my car into gear, and when i do it takes a lot of grinding/rev matching to do so.

There's a possibility of it still being air in the system, but at the same time i was wondering if anyone would have insight on if it could even be the Transmission it self?

It shifts smoothly when the car is off & ran perfectly for the first few days i had it..

But this has become one hell of a frustrating situation, any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
All of a sudden it wasn't working and it's been up on jack stands since.

Don't replace your transmission. The clutch is not releasing. You still have air in the lines. Did you prime the master cylinder and slave cylinder before putting them in and bleed both? Get a Haynes manual or factory service manual and follow the exact procedure.

The transmission grinding means the gears are rotating. That would lead me to believe that the clutch is not releasing. Can't tell the problem from here but air in system, low on fluid. If your clutch is supplied with fluid from your brake system and you changed the brake master cylinder then you will need to bleed the brakes to get the air out. If you only changed the small cylinder at the clutch, known as the slavecylinder, then you only need bleed that. Do you know the process to bleed the air ? It takes two people.

The problem could be a synchronizer gear. The synchronizing gear mechanism is provided to accelerate or decelerate the input shaft to the respective synchronous speed of the new gear. If this isn't working the gears will grind
