I think my wiring on my Toyota 93 V6 3.0 engine is corroded from battery acid and needs to be replaced.

I have heard this job is quite expensive, but was wondering if it was more to do with labor or parts.

If i could find one in a salvage yard maybe it wont be too bad.

what can you say?

Ok i need advice on what car to get. Im looking for a reliable sedan thats under $8000 (preferably not older than 2000). So far ive been interested in a mitsubishi eclipse and a ford mustang but ive heard that the eclipse is unreliable. I just need some suggestions on any models worth buying.

All my experience has been with four-stroke MLW's, so we just check the fluids, cut in the batteries and fire them up. I remember watching someone start a GP18, and there were hand-tightened test cocks that you had to open up for priming. My guess is they kept compression from building in the cylinders. Anyway, I recently checked out a GP35 manual and found no mention of them in the starting process. What's the story here?

I was wondering if there was a train vs car
accident
does the engineer still have to show his drivers
license to the other driver? (if the other driver survived that is!)

Hey :) Im a down to earth person, i love work and the work i do and haven been good at it for many years now ive been very helpfull to many people that obviously needed help with the car or what not.
Anyway before i go off track here, i have noticed the amount of people that walk into the shop and barely see me on the counter saying "Hey there! Can i help you with anything?" And they look over my shoulder like as if theyre looking for a male help.
I can deal with this quite easy but im getting sick and tired of it.
Yesterday i actually got a phone call, and i picked it up and the man on the phone said "I NEED HELP! Is there a mechanic i can speak to?" I said "Yeah sure, whats the problem?" and he continued "...i just need to tlak to someone about my car its rattling! and wont start! i need to talk to a mechanic!" so i go "Okay, hold on. <2seconds pass> Yes! MECHANIC HERE"

Id love to know everyone elses views on a female mechanic. Would it bother you at all?

Im going to college next year in new orleans, and i live in houston. I was looking at buying a truck. I looked at some used Land rover discoveries and they were pretty cheap. there was one that was a 2003 or 2004, and had 54000 miles, and it costed 13998.(to keep in mind im going to try to use the truck for about 5 more years) Is that truck good or bad? And is it a good reliable truck to have? And lastly is it going to be expensive to keep up? If so how much do you think?

I was wondering becuase im looking at buying a 1997 pontiac trans am with 80,000 miles on it for 7 grand. I was wondering at what total milage does it start developing problems? And if they would be simply fix it problems or major problems. Also about how many miles until it becomes a burden with repairs and wouldnt pay to have the car anymore because of alot of repair costs.

and burn the insulation off of it??

that is what happened to me today when I was at a red light and when I started to go again, the truck jolted and died and I noticed smoke coming from underneath the hood and when I lifted it, I saw the smoke coming from the battery cable going to the negative.

IT burned the insulation right off of it practically, but the truck started back up again and I drove it to a parts store and we changed the clamp around the terminal and re clamped the wires and put electrical tape around the wires.
