i have a car thats a real gas eater. i need some solutioons

Acetone is a strong solvent. What it will do, is eat away at the rubber seals in the fuel system. You will wind up having problems with the fuel injectors, fuel pump, and other seals with the tubing. don't use it.

I think that is a urban myth that has been spreading around.

Give your car a tune-up. Forget the acetone.

I have never heard this before, but I would never put it in anything I drive or have to pay to repair.
