Check with a Toyota dealer and see what they say. I know that Ford makes Flex fuel engines that will run on 85% ethanol, Toyota may have a similar engine.

If your's is not set up to do that, then don't run it. The extra alcohol may eat away at seal and other rubber parts in the fuel system.

good luck.

ask your toyota dealer. Most people don't realize that gas at the pump is now up to 50% ethanol. that is not a big jump to 85%. Ford started making E85 flex vehicles 10 years ago. GM is just now jumping on the wagon. Ford don't put it on the cars anymore but they r built for it.

Yes but, the problem will be in the fact that alcohol washes the oil off the side of the cylinders which leads to faster engine wear. and in some cases can burn one up because there is not enough lubricant on the sides of the pistons as they slide up and down. If your cars has about 140,000 mile on it you should be safe. because by this point it is worn enough that it will have blow-by and the blow-by will keep the engine from burning up. (in other words if your engine uses oil it is a good engine to run alcohol in. but if it is a tight engine (newer) don't do it.

TO ANYONE SAYING YES , THE ANSWER IS ....

NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IF IT DOES NOT SAY E-85 ON THE GAS CAP , DO NOT USE IT , A E-85 VEHICLE HAS A SPECIAL PLATED FUEL SYSTEM , ETHANOL IS VERY CORROSIVE AND WILL RUIN YOUR CAR , DO NOT USE MORE THAN 10% ETHANOL WITHOUT ASKING YOUR DEALER
