Ok i need advice on what car to get. Im looking for a reliable sedan thats under $8000 (preferably not older than 2000). So far ive been interested in a mitsubishi eclipse and a ford mustang but ive heard that the eclipse is unreliable. I just need some suggestions on any models worth buying.

both of those are good cars but the mustang wont go in bad weather at all, they barely will move out of their own tracks if its slick out,one good car i recommend is a Nissan sentra, there front wheel drive, and go really well,in all kinds of weather, and they are very dependable ,and cheap to insure also, their worth buying ,eclipse,s do give problems so does any other car though, there's a lot of vehicles out there for around 8 grand that you can buy a lot of good ones also, good luck with it.

Have you looked into buying a 97-99 Mercedes Benz C Class? You can easily find one for under 8K. They are really reliable and dont waste much gas. Plus they are really safe incase of an accident (BELIEVE ME). Since I'm a dork I am fascinated with the key( awesome!!!!!) I think you'll love it! Oh Dont get the Mustang. They are nice at first but then they get so uncomfortable! Extremely tight! The eclipse is also a bummer. The mechanical stucture is not the best. Go for a german sedan they are better build. No I am not German but I do love their cars! Also the Camry and they Accord are very reliable. Look at Cars.com. Great search engine. You can reaserch most makes and models there.

I have been in a Mustang club for years. Once a Mustang reaches about 6 to 7 years old, I would not buy it. They wear out. Mitsubishi older cars are also unreliable. Toyota, Hyundai and even GM have cars that last alot longer. Be sure an have a mechanic look at it thoroughly. Its worth the few dollars it cost.

If your two main criteria are under $8000 and newer than 2000 you'll probably have to settle for something from Japan with very high mleage or an American car like a Dodge Intrepid, Pontiac Grand Am, Chevy Cobalt or Ford Taurus.

The problem with cars like Mustangs and Eclipse is they tend to be driven by younger drivers who either don't maintain them well or drive them too hard.

I'd get a Toyota, they are the most reliable going,i heve a Vette,a 5th ave,and a Toyota celica and thats the every day driver, the other ones automaticaly turn into the gas station, and always need something, not the Toyota 246,000 miles and runs great.
