What do you think of car questions being asked on the mororcycles forum?
For many of us car drivers are the bain of our lives. They don't see us till they've hit us, they push is off the road, they swear and shout at us and they now ask questions on this forum. Let all real bikers vote them off our pages! What do you think???

This question is for real bikers male and female, not the likes of the biscuit box owners who have proved what they are by their insulting answers.
The nitwit who criticizes my English should know that I teach this language for a living and my use of it here is precise and careful.

To Mr. sarcastic cosso77 - If you want to know which car is best to pull a bike trailer, ask on cars not on motorcycles or is that stretching your very narrow mind too much?? It has nothing to do with any motorcycle.

Although it is impractical i believe all persons learning to drive should be made to do 6 months on a bike first. They would learn road sense quicker and would also learn to keep a weather eye open when driving a car. I like to think that when i am out in my car i am aware of any bikes around me but then again i did ride bikes for many years.
People asking inappropriate questions on various pages on this site is quite a common problem, i don't know why yahoo don't pull people for it.

I'm assuming the person asking about a car pulling a bike trailer was serious in assuming that those in the know would be real bikers with a helpful attitude. (Didn't see the post asking the question)
However--not a single passenger car that I own will pull a trailer loaded with a bike...not rated for a load of more than 1500 pounds...that lets out most smaller cars....and yes, if your bike breaks down and you need to trailer it ....it was a valid question.
If you own a bike that pulls a trailer, it is possible that you have used your car to pull your bike's tag along trailer, camping or to events thus saving yourself the purchase of two different trailers or a bigger vehicle.
Example: Hum, I thinking of getting a camper bike trailer for behind a Goldwing, would a small jeep be able to pull it too or should I just buy a toy hauler and a fifth wheel truck? Just kidding, but you do see what I mean?
If the dealer won't install a Tow pack on your new vehicle of choice and include all work, transmission and engine in warranty--Don't buy that vehicle if you want to use it to trailer a bike or two to events.
Finally, so what if cagers are asking questions...maybe if they hang around and monitor the forum for a while-- they'll learn something that will help keep Us alive, well, and kicking.

Aging biker here but I also drive and I pride myself in giving as much courtesy to the motorcyclist as possible. This can be a bit difficult with "some" and only some of the pratts that ride . I feel that the general standard of driving is a bit poor to say the least but the TW@T on the little buzz box is sure to anger even the pope and the to$$er that feel that the road was placed there for him alone to perform his stunt wheelies really does not deserve to use the same road as me
Either way a biker or a driver the standard really needs to be lifted a bit but the courtesy of the driver to the biker needs to be lifted a great deal
Give us a bit of space we only want to persue our passion and live long enough to enjoy it
Regards to all the bikers out there and ride safe be it for pleasure or for needs

I think a lot of car drivers don't know the rules. Many have never read the highway code since they passed there tests. We also have a lot of Americans coming on the UK site and quoting laws that we don't have over here. I have ridden a motorcycle for a very long time and have also worked as an instructor and some car drivers should not be let out of the house never mind in a car .

Make all drivers spend a year on a scooter or bike before they can get a car licence.
It teaches you not only about defensive riding/driving but also makes you more aware of things such as road surface conditions, hazards that can throw a biker off, etc.
It's the only way car drivers will understand what a dangerous place it is to be on the outside of a vehicle at 70mph as opposed to being inside one.

I haven't noticed car questions here.
I don't like that car repair guys answer motorcycle questions, as their experience usually does not apply.
I deal with cars and their drivers everyday.
And the words are bane and 'til, teach.
Grammar could use a little work as well, unless that's just a typo.

personally i think it would be good education if all car drivers were made to take a cbt on a bike before they drive, just to see how some car drivers take so many liberties by those of us on two wheels! some bikers do ride dangerously its true..but most of us are very careful

Old biker here, I think all new drivers should be made to drive a motorbike for 2 years to make them aware of the dangers that bikers face on the roads.
