I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy, 4.3 Lt, automatic. The engine has gas and new spark plugs. It has spark but won't start. When you crank it, it almost starts.Could it be weak spark ? Anyone know what could be wrong ?

Squirt some carburetor cleaner or starting fluid in the intake.
If it starts, your fuel pump is bad, or filter is plugged.

Just because you can SEE gas, doesn't mean it's enough gas.

If spraying "quick start" starting fluid into the air intake makes it start and then stall, you've got a fuel problem rather than an ignition spark problem. Use the spark tester below to do a good spark test.

I would also suggest having a mechanic check your fuel pump. Everything can crank and turn over, but if there isn't any fuel coming into the engine then you are going to go nowhere fast.

I had to replace two fuel pumps in the same van within a month of each other.

Either a weak spark plug or the starter. If it's clicking but won't start, then it probably is the starter. The battery is charged isn't it? Lights work, radio, etc.....

Check the battery.
