pulled up the windshield wiper. When I put it back in place, it doesn't work anymore. However when I use it with washer fluid, the motor turns the wiper blades. Does anyone know what went wrong and why the motor only works on the WASH option? If so, whats the cost look like to fix it?

I was looking through an automotive performance catalog and started thinking about fuel coolers (typically a container with a coil inside that you fill with ice or dry ice or something) to try to reduce the temperature of incoming fuel. So the end result is a cooler fuel, which will increase the mass flow rate through your jets or fuel injectors. You have not increased the energy of the fuel at all, actually decreased the energy content of the fuel due to lower entropy. It seems like you would want to do the opposite, increase the energy of the fuel (add heat) and simply compensate the lower mass flow rate with larger jets or increased duration of the fuel injection pulse. Anyway it just seems like an inconsistent and difficult way to add more fuel. I would appreciate any good input from a scientific point of view.

My husband drives a honda accord and everytime the D4 light starts blinking his car will not start. Does anyone know what it could be? We took it to Honda and they did like a computer scan and charged us $80, and they said that it was a hard coad imbedded into the computer that they went ahead and erased. It was running fine for about two weeks and now it's doing it again. What could it be! Some people say it's the transmission, some say it's the computer, some say it's the fuel pump relay. But all those things are really expensive to jus try, and no one will tell us what is wrong with it! It runs perfectly once it actually strarts though.. Please if any one knows honda's, can you help us.

Hi,
I have an car with an automatic gearbox. When my boyfriend uses my car, he always put the gear on "P" (parking) at red lights, which really annoys me. I have the impression that it's not good to do this as position "P" blocks the wheels and I fear that this might in the long term damage the gearbox. He argues that it doesn't matter. Who is right?

My wife was involved in an auto accident last October. The other party submitted a claim to our insurance company this February for personal injury. The insurance company has determined very little liability and have not been able to come to an agreement on the terms of settlement. We have just discovered the other party has filed a personal injury suit against my wife. Can this be done at the same time? Is the insurance company supposed to deal with this? If the other party gets paid by the insurance company, would my wife still be liable for damages? What if the insurance company and the other party never come to an agreement? Help?!
