I heard from somewhere that it is harmful for your engine or your car in general if you have the Air Conditioning running while your car is parked or stopped. Is this true or just a myth. Thanks!

When I go to eBay motors, I'm amazed at the deals I find. However, I have been hosed too many times in person to consider buying a car sight unseen. I'm wondering if there is some sort of company that I could pay, say, $100 to go look at a car that I want to buy, without me having to drive 800 miles to look at a car that has been driven into the ground but looks great in pictures. Is there anything remotely like this, or any ideas on how to combat this problem other than the obvious carfax.

I took my driving test a while ago and failed for a manual test but can not get a manual car to practise in. If I decided to just do the automatic test instead is that possible? Would I need to take a different theory test?

The car would not start. I just got that clicking sound you get when the battery is no putting out enough power. I had the battery checked; it tested bad. I replaced the battery and everything was fine. 2 days later, the check battery lamp came back on. I tightened the connectors and thelamp extenguished. 2 days later, it's back on and won't go off....The car starts and runs fine.

I have an Astra 1.6 Club. My garage tells me that, when the airconditioning is switched on, it stalls the engine. The garage says it is not sufficient just to avoid switching the airconditioning on as, even if this avoided, eventually the broken airconditioning system could damage the engine. Is the garage right? How soon should I get the problem fixed?

What are their pros and cons, if any?

Are they easy and affordable to work on as far as Porches are concerned?

Was there ever a Turbo or Supercharged version of these made from the factory?

Can you still get all the parts for these cars without too much hassle?

I'm trying to get the best milage I can out of an s-10 blazer 4x4 with a 4.3 v-6. I'm changing the fuel filter and air filter and it runs fine, but will bosch platinum plugs help with my milage at all? I'ts not missing at all, but seems to run much better on higher octane as it has gotten up in miles.

And I do know there are vehicles out there that will run better, but as a sportsman, I need the 4X4, so don't lecture me about a rice-burner getting better milage.

I have a 1997 Jeep Cherokee Sport and I want to recharge the A/C since it just blows warm air now. I bought an Interdynamics "Big Chill" can and hook it up to the low pressure valve. I check the gauge and when the compressor is NOT running it reads almost 70psi, but when the compressor is on it reads about 15-20psi.

Should I be reading the gauge when the compressor is on or off? I don't want to overcharge it.

I currently have a battery rated at Volts = 12, Amp-Hour = 11, CCA = 160 . I want to go with a sealed battery and the closest thing I could find is rated at Volts = 12 , Amp Hour = 14, CCA = 210. My question is what problems will I run into with this change?

I recently purchase brand new tires on my 3000GT VR4. All four tire was mounted, aligned, and balanced but NOT nitrogen filled by Tire Plus. When I drive over 60mph and turn a little bit the steering wheel shakes. It's been a month since I got the new tires. I had this problem before but I was assuming that it was because of my bad tires but when I got new tires it still shakes. Could it be a bad balancing job or could be something else? Brake and ABS light came on at the same time , Just bought the truck used and only after 3 days this happened , then the speedometer started not working untill you reached 25mph then moved to 35 ? which sensors do I replace or is there more to it , the truck runs, drives and stops with out issue..

the door will go down to about 6 inches to closing, and then reverses for no apparent reason, and then the opener lights blink for 5 seconds after reversing. The manual says to check the safety reversing sensor. remove any obstruction or align the receiving eye. there is no obstructions and both indicator lights are glowing steadily. Thank you for your help !

Bought my car this way and on my key ring-it has the official Chrysler emblem that says UNLOCK/LOCK -but the unlock button makes the driver door open when you push it and the lock button is SUPPOSED to open the passenger side door---The problem is that they only work when THEY want to work and at times I am actually trapped inside my car as the inside door handles don't work and I push a button UP for open the driver door and DOWN for opening the passenger door...I really need any help with this....is there a short somewhere?? and why, after I keep pushing these buttons after 10minutes, the door finally opens!!!!???

I'm looking for a GPS system to be used on a motorcycle (waterproof???) and that can also be used in a car. I'd like to have a touch screen with voice response and an ear phone for using on the motorcycle. After doing some research I am still confused about all of the options and would like some recommendations. Anyone out there have experience with this?
