I KNOW SOME ONE WHO MOVED FROM FLORIDA TO WISCONSIN , A MOVER WAS THE SAME PRICE AS A UHAUL , ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS PACK AND UNPACK , GOOD LUCK
CHECK THE UNPACK THEY DROP OFF A "CONTAINER" YOU LOAD IT , THEY PICK IT UP AND DROP IT OFF AND YOU UNLOAD IT

maybe it is cheaper to go to colo. and drag the trailer to utah and then back to mn ..... check the price and do not tell them that you are trying to do an end-around --- just rent the trailer like you are moving some stuff to utah and drop in mn.... jthe more you say the higher the price ... got it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your best bet would be to check

craigslist.org

in your area and see if you can find a smaller company willing to do out-of state moves reasonably. the listing would probably be under services.
if not, always the phone book for rentals or moving services

u-haul is the most expensive, penske or ryder might work
did you try pods or a freight company that will drop off a storage unit in your driveway and pick it up after you loaded it
