If it is just a regular sized card - like a greeting card then just put 69 cents postage on it and address it properly ( make sure you use the postal code) and drop it in the mail.

If it is larger and has to go in a padded envelope or box, then you will have to take it to the post office to get it mailed. Make sure you fill out a Customs Declaration form too. Use form 2976 for anything less than 4 lbs and 2976-A for things heavier. I believe anything of value over $60 and they will have to pay taxes and duties for.

Sending Mail To Canada

take it to the post office... you can put US postage on it but it costs more...

Make sure that you write the word CANADA as the last line of the address (below the Province/zip code)
The destination country has to be written on the envelope/package IN ENGLISH.

I work for the post office and you wouldn't believe how many packages we get that we think are going oversees but we can't tell because we don't read whatever language the address is written in.

Address it to the correct address, take it to the U.S. Post office near your home, purchase the correct amount of postage from the postal clerk, put the stamp(s) on the envelope and drop it in the outgoing mail slot.

If it is a letter - just amil it as usual-

If it is a box you need to go in to the post office- and fill out a paper for shipping out of the country.

You could try a Canadian address, postage stamp and mail box or post office.
