We usually don't run any a/c or our 240's with a sr20det. You are just killing the purpose of the swap. But if you really need it, I don't see why you can't put a Japan one on it.

sounds like when the mechanics did the motor swap they for some reason did not install the a/c system.Either it was bad,no room for it,or they just left it out on purpose. If you have no system at all your best bet would be to go to salvage yards, there are only a few parts that will need to be replaced with new but you will save a lot of $.

Why did you buy a new car without testing the AC first?
That will be a lot of money.

DOES IT HAVE IT NOW ?YOU JUST NEED TO REPLACE IT ? I'M GUESSING ALOT , IF YOU LIKE THE CAR , I SUGGEST PUTTING IN A SUNROOF FOR $250 BUCKS , A WHOLE A/C SYSTEM FROM SCRATCH WOULD BE ALOT LIKE OVER $1000
