Synthetics are desighned to replace petroleum based lubricants. I run Mobil 1 synthetics in all my vehicles. I found that it increases the life of my engines dramatically. I usually wear a motor out that is using just petroleum based oils at around 150,000 miles. But with synthetics I get much closer to 300,000 miles on em before I sell them. Synthetics cost a little more. I buy mine in five gallon jugs from wal mart for $25.00. I also run synthetics in my Harleys.

Valvoline synthetic is an oil replacement ----- but it is better to stay with the regular grades of oil --- valvoline and castrol are the best brands and your engine loves both of them ..... the synthetic oil costs much more than regular oil and sounds cool that's all ..
