I recently purchase brand new tires on my 3000GT VR4. All four tire was mounted, aligned, and balanced but NOT nitrogen filled by Tire Plus. When I drive over 60mph and turn a little bit the steering wheel shakes. It's been a month since I got the new tires. I had this problem before but I was assuming that it was because of my bad tires but when I got new tires it still shakes. Could it be a bad balancing job or could be something else? Thanks for your help

Sounds like balancing issue. Some places claim that they perform balancing but oftentimes do not. This has happened to me at 60 MPH and it was that I needed my tires balanced. Since you just purchased these tires they should come with some sort of warranty and they must perform the balance for you.

Your proplem is most likely an alignment issue. Usually if your tires aren't aligned properly, you will not notice anything until you get going a bit faster. At 60 MPH you would start to notice these issues. I am not convinced that the shop did their best to align or balance your tires. If it were a power steering pump issue, or a general steering issue, you would be able to feel the problems at much slower speeds.

I say 1st off you need a new mechanic. If your cars steering wheel shakes. Its a front tire out of balance or a broken belt in the tire. When you have a broken belt you'll see a knot on the tire where the belt broke (befour it blew that is) sometimes it'll be on the back side where you cant see. Just get a new tire put on the wheel and get it balanced. Dont forget to tighten your lug nuts back up in a crose pattern to keep from warping your wheel.

Assuming that the alignment is perfect (actually since the steering wheel shakes only when you turn it little, I don't think the problem is the tires). Check the power steering fluid...It could be your power steering pump.
Good luck

If it was happening before and now still is, it is not the tires. Have the steering components checked. Could be bad steering knuckles or tie rod ends.

could be a bent rim,or bad tire,or it may be out of alignment. You can get your front end aligned and hit a pot hole leaving the shop and mess it up.Take your car to the tire shop and they will test drive it and will have it fixed in no time.just because your tires were filled with nitrogen instead of air will have no affect on the handling,

Since you mentioned that the issue was there before you bought the tires, I suspect you have bad ball joints, tie rods, or a bad steering knuckle.

This has nothing to do with your tires, and certainly has nothing to do with filling them with air. A shimmy that comes and goes as you turn the wheel is almost certainly caused by a bad tie rod end or ball joint. It will get progressively worse until you either fix it or suffer front end failure.

Get the tires checked then get a front and rear alignment.

Sounds like your pulling to one side to me.

With new tires, you should have an alignment done. They would tell you if there was a problem then. Good luck.
