there's the link to the car...its from a private seller and the car looks good to me, what do you think? I check it through carfax "Accident Reported in Cobb County Involving a rear impact with another motor vehicle Minor damage reported"

That doesn't seem to bad does it? Are Isuzu cars good dependable cars?

I have a 1988 Volvo 740 turbo that has recently begun spewing black smoke. White smoke I understand happens when the turbo begins to go. Black smoke I understand to be oil. I just drove the thing and it does do the white smoke thing. Drives consistent with the turbo going out as in it looses power when the turbo meter goes into yellow/active. If I keep it out of the yellow/active range there is less smoke and it just drives like a 4-cyl. Any ideas about the black smoke? Drives fine otherwise...my own hunch is that it spews black smoke because it doesn't like how my sweetheart drives it. Her history is that she's driven numerous other cars into death.

I've borrowed a old model Ford Windstar. After I parked and turn off the car I turned the steering wheel a bit so that I could put the Club on the steering wheel. After doing this, the steering wheel is locked, won't turn in either direction, and I am unable to turn the key in the ignition to start the van. Any solutions?

i have an 84 S10 with a 2.8L V6, tomorrow i am getting a 383 and transmission for it from a friend, what all will i need to replace, i know ill need a new drive shaft, maybe do i need a new rear end? andthing with suspension, prolly new brakes? will my wires that i have now work? same fuel pump and everything or what? i jsut need to know everything that i will have to replace

The car has around 57,000 miles. it hasn't been driven/started in about a year(possible engine problems?). I recently witnessed the owner cut off a tail pipe to give it away (just one, don't ask!), the owner doesn't know whats wrong with it at all. The interior is decent and should be able to be pieced back together even though its an ugly brown/beige. The color is black no major body issues, just some dents/paint need 2 be redone. Oh yeah and its an automatic so a tranny swap in the future would be nice. I mean how much in total will it be to fix it all up and make it nice?

I know everyone has seen those mercedes or other new cars that when they hit the turn signal they have a light on the mirrior that flashes too, I want those on my Cadillac Seville, I have seen people have it done to their cars on cardomain but Im not sure where I can go to have this done. So I hate to admit this but my car was repoed and I payed it all off and got the car back but come to find out that the repo man took all my stuff out of my car. He evan took off the plates and regristration. Now he wants to charge me $50 to get it back. After I just paid all that money to get my car back!!! I have been talking to some people and they all think they can't do that. Does anybody know anything about this?????

i havent moved my car a single inch for at least 2 weeks now because i discovered the cable that hooks up to the alternator keep coming loose on its own and caused the battery to die but if i caught it before it ran the battery down to long the car would be fine so i the plug in with alot of pressure so it would stay in after 2 days i decided to put a new battery in and the car crunk right up i drove around for a full day and left it alone for 3 days and the battery was so dead it wasnt even funny so i decided to wait before i jumped and bought an alternator so i left it completely alone for about a week and a half and then went to check if it would still crank and nothing so i put the old battery witch i had charged up back in and it crancked so i left it alone thinking if i leave it alone the battery wont run down guess what its dead as a door nail and the interior lights havent even been turned on what could it be?

I am returning to the UK from overseas for a month or so and will need to hire a car while I'm there. I have a full driving licence which I have managed to mislay somewhere and all the car hire websites say that I must present my licence on collection of the car. A few years back, I hired a van while my licence was at the DVLA having the address changed, and the hire company phoned the DVLA for a licence check, and I got the van (they didn't do cars). Does anyone know of any hire companies which will hire me a car on the basis of a DVLA check on me without me having to present the actual licence?

I can't get a replacement licence until I'm actually in the UK (no time to get the forms sent out here, and they don't offer an online service) so that's not an option.

I'm looking at buying a 98 Z 71 with 133000 miles, one owner, looks to be in above average condition.. owner had GM tranny installed a month ago by a chevy store.. full warranty.. can anyone tell me the actual gas mileage I can expect? 5.7 liter with auto overdrive .....any other pros or cons..
