I'm looking at buying a 98 Z 71 with 133000 miles, one owner, looks to be in above average condition.. owner had GM tranny installed a month ago by a chevy store.. full warranty.. can anyone tell me the actual gas mileage I can expect? 5.7 liter with auto overdrive .....any other pros or cons..

Sounds like a great truck. The MPG should be around 17-21.Pros lots of good miles left on the truck.Cons friends allways need someone with a good pick up truck to haul things sometimes.Can be a pain.Best of luck if you get the truck.

13-17 Nice truck though. If you are really worried about the gas milage i would reccomend getting a chip. You can tune your truck to get better gas milage and more hp + torque. It would run you anywhere from $200-$500 for the chip and all you do is plug it in and its installed.
