Air cooled engines,(VW's,Porche's,etc.) do not have a radiator.

The oil cools your engine, the water cools the oil. Without a radiator to cool the water your car will overheat. With AC you need a radiator all the more. However, if you have an air cooled engine, you do not need a radiator .

The old WW was a simple air cooled machine , no radiator, no water pump, and no gas Gage.

Aircraft internal combustion engines are air cooled. No radiators are needed. Don't forget the air is a lot colder at altitude.

Jet engines definitely do not use water for cooling. All done by air flow.

There are 2 types of cooling systems. Air and liquid. The engine must be made for one or the other.
The old VW bug was air cooled and had an oil cooler also.
The famous P51 Mustang was a liquid cooled engine. It had a radiator. It's most vulnerable spot on the air plane.
If you are not an air cooled engine, the you will over heat with out a radiator.

The oil can cool the engine to a small degree, but because it
has a higher viscosity it doesn't transfer the heat nearly as well
as water or coolant. There is a lot of heat generated when you
explode gasoline and it must be dissipated quickly or the engine will have (1) a warped head, or (2) a seizure of one or more pistons. Radiators are made to transfer the heat to the air
and are engineered to the engine's capacity to generate heat. I
had a radiator leak in my MGB and drove it for about 10 min. without damage as it had an oil cooler.

oil lubricates the piston.

Water is fed through the block and keeps it cool so it doesn;t warp and crack.

Yes without a radiator a car would be useless within no ime at all.

Yes, unless it is an air cooled engine.

YES, UNLESS YOU HAVE A AIR COOLED MOTOTR LIKE A VW BUG OR CORVAIR....
