The Repo man has no legal right to any of your stuff, nor can he charge you to get it back. If need be, file theft charges against him and sue him.

People like that give all repo men a bad name!!

well they aren't supposed to touch a thing but i knew a guy who did repos and he took stuff out of the cars like i-pods and radios and spare tires, anything that was worth money and sold them on e-bay or used them for his personal use. when they give it to the bank or insurance companys or whoever paid them to do the repossetion, they just say there was nothing in it when they took it, and there is really nothing you can do it about it because there is no proof. I've never heard of them taking plates and registration but if they do have it they should give it back to you without a problem or a fee. Its pretty shitty, but they still do it. Thats why if anyone thinks or knows that they're car has a chance to get repoed they take all valueables out of it. and take all important paperwork and plates also.

Yes, if they're repoing "his" stuff, then it's "their" stuff, not his and it doesn't matter if you're in possession of it, it's rightfully theirs. Also, they have every right to take the stuff in temp storage as well. Eventually they'll sue him for their missing property, find out he has a storage space and then take it. If they know you knew where it was all along, then you could be in trouble too.

repo men can only take things that you have a title to...(boat, house, car, truck)....but he cannot take single items like ipod and radio and stuff i think you should get a lawyer and sew the repo man for all he is worth...

Call your local law enforcement office and see what they say. You may be able to report it stolen. I'm sure if the law speaks to them it may set them straight. If all less fails then get a lawyer and stick it to them for a change.
